W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research compiled this collection of chapters and case studies that push for potentially transformative workforce development and education strategies designed to improve opportunities for job seekers, students, and workers, and especially those with the most barriers to participation.

The authors examine the funding and performance of unemployment insurance, postsecondary education, reemployment programs, Workforce Investment Boards, the labor exchange system, and the potential impact of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014.
