Evaluation and Research Toolkits and Other Resources for Program Managers
About
The Evaluation and Research Hub (EvalHub) contains many publicly available evaluation research tools guides, toolkits, and resources to help program managers in the public workforce system navigate the research and evaluation activities and plans.
As evaluations are essential to measuring the effective and efficient use of funds, evaluation toolkits detail the practical aspects of planning and using evaluations for state workforce development and program agencies. Workforce development practitioners can use these resources to enhance their understanding of evaluation purposes and concepts, the U.S. Department of Labor’s evaluation policy, types of evaluations and key considerations for evaluation design, evaluation approaches and methods, and evaluator selection.
Workforce development agencies can also routinely assess their program strategies, services, and performance data to formulate short turnaround or longer, more rigorous evaluation studies to inform decision-making. Toolkits can aid this process by offering considerations for Federal evaluation plans, including insights regarding evaluation questions, information, and methods.
For more details about the toolkits, guides, and checklists available in the EvalHub, check out the new resource page on evaluation and research toolkits for program managers in the related content.
